Christopher Raj (B.Sc. (Malaya); PG Cert in Dist Ed (Indiana))

Christopher Raj is a graduate of the University of Malaya in Biochemistry. He also attained a Post Graduate Certification in Distance Education from Indiana University, USA. He has over 13 years of association with Professor Dr Leonard Yong as researcher and facilitator of the LPI work, as well as Manager of the Centre for Continuing Education, University of Malaya,

where he assisted Dr Leonard in pioneering the set-up of the operations. 

During his tenure at the centre, he managed International Study Tours and training programs including World Bank (WB) and Asian Development Bank (ADB) Technical Assistance Projects like the Agricultural Research Management Project, Bangladesh (WB), Upland Settlement Projects for the Chittagong Hilltracts Development Board, Bangladesh (WB), Technical and Vocational Education & Training projects for the Ministry of Education, Youth and Sports, Cambodia (ADB), National University of Laos Planning and Reform projects (ADB).

He has also served as Business Development Manager, Open University (Malaysia), a subsidiary of Open University, UK and as Manager (Program Management & Operations) at the Institute of Professional Development, Open University Malaysia (Universiti Terbuka Malaysia), where he was involved in strategic initiatives in education and training for both local and international programs.  

His research and training focuses on leadership and supervisory development (people skills development, management and customer relations) and he has conducted many training programs for government agencies as well as the private sector in Malaysia in both Bahasa Malaysia and the English Language.  

These include the University of Malaya, Veteran Services Department, Armed Forces, MINDEF, Pensonic Sdn Bhd, Howarth (Penang), Intel, Hunza, Kumpulan Tan Chong Berhad, MISC, Petronas, Sony, Elken Sdn Bhd, Jobstreet.com, Air Asia and Institute Latihan Sektor Awam Negeri (INSAN), Sabah, CIMA, Golden Fresh Sdn Bhd, IDG, Teradyne Connection Systems (Malaysia) Sdn Bhd, Pembangunan Bandar Mutiara Sdn Bhd, Motorola and Dewan Bandaraya Kota Kinabalu.  

Mr Raj is a Senior Consultant of Nobel Education Network Sdn. Bhd. and a Licensed Master Facilitator of the LEONARD Personality Inventory System (LPI). He has administered the instrument for individuals from various professional backgrounds and facilitated many training programs in the area of Emotional Excellence.
