INTRODUCTION:
Supervisors
represent the core of management activities. They form the critical
communication link between employees and management. Supervisors have to
effectively lead and motivate their subordinates to achieve corporate goals.
Supervisor is
measured by ‘Successful” and ‘Effective’ and Successful leaders get followers’
performance; behaviour and achieve RESULTS whereas Effective leaders get good
feelings; positive attitudes and high commitments from followers. The most
important item in the continuum is RESULT therefore a leader can be successful,
but ineffective but they cannot be effective, but unsuccessful.
Supervisors
cannot, therefore, be left to carry out this important responsibility without
prior training. Leaving them to experiment through trial and error is something
that neither they nor management can afford.
WHO SHOULD ATTEND:
Executives or
supervisors, whose main responsibility is to supervise people.
