AIM OF THE COURSE:
To understand
and implement laws and principles governing under the Labour Ordinance of
Sarawak/Sabah, the amended act 2005
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- |
|
INTRODUCTION:
Because previously not all of the provisions of the Employment
Act 1955 apply directly to Sabah and Sarawak, these ordinances apply broadly
similar provisions to these States of Malaysia. The ordinances cover many manual
workers (including domestic servants) employed under a contract of service and
allow the Minister to make rules regarding their employment and repatriation.
Failure to comply the Labour Ordinance Sarawak may result
organization to suffer heavy penalty leading to heavy fine or imprisonment or
both, which could be totally unnecessary and can be avoided. This program will
benefit participants to understand and apply the labour law, manage discipline
better leading to higher productivity, understanding the mutual benefit of the
rights of employer /employee, and be able to motivate employees.
